We enjoy stopping by whenever in Alamogordo. Good food and coffee. Call before you go. Not always open when their web service says they are.

So glad we found this restaurant for lunch while we visited Alamogordo. It was one of the better lunch spots on our trip through New Mexico. I believe it is an old home that is converted to a restaurant, the old wooden floors are sort of worn and a bit uneven which gives it lots of character. We were told to sit anywhere and a server soon came with menus and took drink orders. She was all dressed up for the holidays with cute little floppy reindeer antlers on her head and an apron with snowmen on it. My wife was in the mood for eggs as we had skipped breakfast so she had an omelet, hash browns and cinnamon raisin toast. It was perfect and she enjoyed every bite. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with a side of their sweet potato fries which were crispy and hot from the fryer. The place is cute inside, lots of cute things on the walls like old photos, signs and even a big Santa Clause for the holidays. What's more I used the men's room and it was super clean which always tells me how good a restaurant is and that they most likely keep a clean kitchen! We would dine here regularly if we lived here, the food was that good!

The food is fresh, hot, and perfectly cooked eggs every time. The service is quick. Everyone pitches in to get you seared, keep your coffee replenished and your food out quickly. Will eat there again

Food came out fast and hot. Service was very good. Cute little house turned into a restaurant.

Good is always delicious and the staff makes it feel like you're guests in their own home. They have the best green chile in town.

This was the perfect, locally owned, no frills breakfast. Delicious food and don't miss out on the sin city roll. It is RIDICULOUSLY big. The staff is friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the country scramble (two days in a row) and my partner enjoyed the pancakes and the country fried steak.

This place is an Alamogordo hidden gem. Huge portion sizes, great prices, and very homie vibe. We tried the S.O.S biscuits and gravy they were delicious. Highly recommend Our Country Kitchen over any big name breakfast restaurant in town.

When I reflect on my meal here, I really should have peeked into the kitchen to make sure they hadn't kidnapped my grandma as it sure tasted like her food. Another Yelp 'come through' find. I never would have guessed this converted home was a cafe. No signage readable from the street that I could find. I thought it was an insurance or attorney office. Very much a local's secret. I went with the S.O.S (aka biscuits & gravy) with two over easy eggs and a side of sausage patties. No doubt the best biscuits I've had in years. The gravy was perfect with big chunks of sausage. Eggs, actually cooked over easy. A combination bite of all three was over the top. Didn't care for the country potatoes as they were diced much larger than I like and no crunchy outside. Good home cooking. I'd go out of my way to eat here again.
